Please Help

Unions, please be reasonable. The state is at stake.

The Capitol is depending on concessions from you to help it out of its financial crisis. The city of Hartford is relying on your cooperation to avoid bankruptcy. If the ship sinks, everyone goes down — including you.

There’s no sign of agreement, though, in your talks with the governor, which have been going on for months. The end of the legislative session is less than three weeks away.

The governor says there could be up to 4,200 layoffs if the stalemate continues. The Courant’s Dan Haar has explained just how those layoffs could hurt the state’s economy, not to mention the workers losing their jobs.

C’mon, unions.
